Scotland – what we packed

A brief interlude to cover the inventory and some of the preparation for three weeks away from home port.  This doesn’t include the food (as evidenced by the fact that we didn’t starve to death, I left this to someone else) nor the personal effects of a crew of five.

Genoa, no. 2 jib, no. 3 jib, storm jib
Two different sized spinnakers
CQR and Danforth anchors

7 automatic life jackets (recently tested), plus spare gas cylinders
Safety lines/harnesses
Life-ring with light (new batteries)
EPIRB
6-person life raft
Large rechargeable torch, charged
Handheld VHF radio + 12V charger
Emergency navigation lights
Foghorn
First aid kit
Flares (4 red rockets, 3 orange smoke, 5 red handheld, 4 white handheld)

Fuel, Dinghy and engine stuff 

Full fuel tank (about 65L)
20L of spare diesel in cans (2 x 5L and 1 x 10L)
Outboard engine, full of petrol
5L of spare petrol
Engine oil
Inflatable 3-person dinghy, including pump and oars
Dinghy repair kit (recently used)
Spare engine parts, marine grease
Spare shackles, clevis and split pins and rings

Admiralty leisure folios (contain about 15-20 charts each)
